The Lord of The Rings & Islam

This might be a bit old now but I cant find a single decent article explaining the relevance between LOTR and Islam. Please do let me know if you find one.

From the beginning of the trilogy until the end, the similarities, which I found made me uncomfortable, are unbelievable.

What was Tolkien thinking while he wrote the book? Could it be that he was inspired by the Islamic revelation? Or even borrowed a few 'hadiths' ie tradition? All the hadiths related to this subject is from the 'chapter of the hour', an end of times signs and warning chapter narrated by the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

Now don't get me wrong LOTR is one of my absolute favourite films of all time. It is pure magic and everything about it expands my imaginations to the max.

So let me inform you of the similarities and of course I'm up for a big time grill but I dont mind arguments and criticisms.

Gandalf- Islamically Jesus (pbuh) is going to arrive from heaven killing the anti Christ (Dajjal) and breaking the cross with his hands. Jesus (pbuh) is known to have supernatural powers such as the curing of blind and awaking the dead, all from the will of God's and His power.

Aragorn- The awaited Imam in Islam Mohammad, also known as Mehdi. His is from the bloodline of the Prophet (pbuh) Muhammad and his name will be the same. He will not know at first that he's the Imam/Caliphate but he will rather get a wake up call from the majority of Islamic scholars commanding him to act like a caliphate and restore justice in the world. The world then would have reached a catastrophic result from the immorality of human actions.

Sauron- The anti Christ Dajjal. Now this might confuse you because I think the book/film was being metaphoric rather than literal. It is narrated that the Dajjal will have one eye open. His eye will be the centre of attention and hence he's called 'a'waro el dajjal', one eye dajjal. He will have two eyes but one eye will be visible and the other is closed and cannot be seen due to its very small size. This Dajjal will transfom the world to a mayhem. He will convince many people in the world that he is the Christ or the Lord of the universe. He will kill people and return them back to life to prove that he is the lord. Whoever follows him is destined to hell. He will show people two sides, paradise and hell, and he will ask people to choose. Whoever chooses paradise will go to hell and vice versa. He will be defeated by the Mehdi and Jesus (pbuh).

Soldiers of Sauron the Orcs- These monster creatures are extremely similar to 'Yagog and Magog'. Y & M will come out from earth, after having to dig for thousands of years. They will be hungry and they will eat whatever they find in their way whether its human, animal or anything else encountering them. They are depicted as being monsters and they will be very strong even for Jesus (pbuh). They will be defeated only by the power of God when Jesus (pbuh) makes a prayer directly to God begging Him for help.

Other characters might be relevant but I cant think of anything else at this moment. I think I have shown that the main characters are in fact depicted in the Islamic tradition. There's no falsehood in that because these traditions were written more than a thousand years ago.

Here's an interesting phrase I found on wikipedia explaining the character of Sauron: 'He cannot yet take physical form, and is spiritually incarnate as an Eye.'

Well for some people who dig into 'The one Eye' in popular culture this is something to think about.

With Israel currently digging and hunting the "skeleton of Solomon" underneath the Mosque of Al-Aqsa, I doubt it will take long for us to meet 'Sauron' as I believe with all my heart that they are preparing for the arrival of their 'messiah', 'Sauron' or call it Dajjal- the anti Christ.

I hope that I wont be living at that time because the suffering and pain associated with the anti Christ is unimaginable.

Future Reference foreshadowing in film

I'm just really wondering whether the old 70's, 80's or even 90's films hint whats going to happen in the future in terms of technology. We have watched so many films that indicates a possible future and many of those films have actually happened in reality.

Was it a conicident or maybe an actual fact.Rememeber 'Total Recall'? I find that film very creepy due to two things; the body scanner Arnie goes through while he's on the rail station and Sharon Stone playing tennis with a holographic trainer.

Two things that has happened in reality. Ok maybe not quite the holographic trainer yet but it is on its way. The holographic TV is just round the corner and many TV stations used the holographic tech to get reports from their collegues elsewhere. This can be viewed on youtube it is happening. So my questions are; did they know this will happen and they just wanted us to be prepared or did they consult a technology expert?

Either way its creepy coz there's no way a film director/writer will get an exact information on what is going to happen UNLESS they are part of an agenda with the goverment. If you're thinking however, that the experts get inspired by a film then you're in dilusion.

Lets just agree that it is indeed part of an agenda. 'Vigilant Citizen' posted an article 'The Transhumanist and Police State Agenda in Pop Music' and I think he would agree that popular culture as a whole promotes this idea as well. All their 'terrorism' rubbish is to prepare for a massive scale of control.
